I Chronicles 16:34, “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever.”
This is my praise as I give thanks to God for his many blessings and healing power. I give thanks to God for surrounding me with children that love me to the point of sacrificing their personal lives to care for me. I thank God for Bishop Frank Beard and Cabinet for caring, supporting and lifting my family and I in prayer. I thank God for the continuous prayers from colleagues and friends that lifted my name with others in need of God’s healing touch. There was so much love that it became impossible to keep up with the number of get well cards and gifts I received. Thank you! I cannot fully express the overwhelming flood of hope and love that has lifted my spirit and filled me with joy.
My health is improving, my mind is clear, and my soul is anchored in the Lord. What more could a person seek from God. Next year, I will move back to Wichita, Kansas in retirement status with hopes of continuing in ministry. So, as I prepare for retirement I want everyone in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference and The United Methodist family to know that I love you. To the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, I will miss you. But this is not goodbye, for I will see you around as God’s work continues with us and among us.
Matthew 25:36b,40 “…I was sick, and you looked after me… ‘The King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Blessings in Christ
